Since Mount Cotton and Sheldon have become part of the Springwood Electorate, I have enjoyed being out in the area meeting the community and getting to hear what matters to local families.
It’s the best part of my job, and helps give me an idea of what needs to be done.
Recently, I’ve been hearing a lot of concern about traffic congestion at Mount Cotton State School. After being out at the school several times for meetings with parents and staff I got to see first hand how bad it can get.
Its hard to say what people are more frustrated about – the traffic or the danger of running across the road to collect the kids. Either way something has to be done.
