Community Support

There are various grants that community based organisations and not-for-profits can apply for. Many organisations rely on these to continue their great work.  Grants are available through various levels of government and from private sources.

The Queensland Government's Grants Finder may help you find funding and assistance programs available to you.

Skilling for Queenslanders for Work

The Queensland Government has reintroduced the highly successful Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative, with an investment of $420 million over six years to support up to 54,000 Queenslanders into work.

Skilling Queenslanders for Work provides training to people who are under-utilised or under-employed in the labour market.

More information on this funding stream is available here.

Funding for Sports and Recreation

Local sport and recreation clubs not only promote the benefits of physical activity and a healthy well being, they are a valuable asset to communities—to bring everyone together and create a friendly local environment.

As part of the Palaszczuk Government's 10-year Sport and Active Recreation Strategy Activate Queensland 2019-2029, there are funding streams available for clubs, organisations, and individuals to encourage participation.
