Every day thousands of families from our neighbourhood use sections of the M1 and the M1/M3 Gateway Merge to get to and from work.
The Palaszczuk Government is delivering this project to deliver faster travel times - getting you back home safer and faster.
Construction is currently underway on the first construction package – Sports Drive to Gateway Motorway - and includes widening up to five northbound lanes on the M1 and up to 2.5 kilometres of dedicated cycleway infrastructure, between the Gateway Motorway diverge, at Logan Road, and Camelot Park in Underwood.
Stage 2 targets Eight Mile Plains to Daisy Hill and focuses on improvements to eight kilometres of the M1 between the Gateway Motorway and Loganlea Road, including extension of the South East Busway from Eight Mile Plains to Springwood and a new bus station and park 'n' ride at Rochedale.
I am doing regular video updates on Facebook to bring the M1 construction progress to you - readily accessible, and there for you to see as it happens.
