The Queensland Government has announced a massive investment in health services for Mount Cotton and Sheldon families.

The Palaszczuk Government is bringing forward massive job building infrastructure projects to get Queenslanders back to work as we unite and recover from this global pandemic. Here in the Redlands we’re bringing forward the Redland Hospital Expansion.

Stage 1 of the Redland Hospital Expansion will deliver a new 32-bed ward and new 6-bed Intensive Care Unit alongside 179 local construction jobs for the Redlands.

We’re already planning for Stage 2 with a $6 million investment to develop a detailed business case for an even bigger expansion to make more health services available locally.

Building on our record of:
·         Upgrading the Emergency Department, easing pressure on our busy ED.
·         Expanding the Maternity Ward, adding a water birthing suite.
·         Bringing forward the multi-storey carpark, increasing the number of carparks to 1,162 and creating 152 local construction jobs for the Redlands.
