The Satellite Hospitals program is a Miles Government commitment to deliver seven new facilities to support public healthcare delivery in rapidly growing communities across South East Queensland.
Two of these satellite hospitals are located within our local communities.
Redlands Satellite Hospital - 22 Meissner Street, Redland Bay
Eight Mile Plains Satellite Hospital - 59 Levington Road, Eight Mile Plains
This new and innovative program will give residents better access to health care in their local community, so they can access these services closer to home and in a more convenient setting without having to travel to a major hospital.
The Satellite Hospitals will also free up capacity at our major hospitals and help to ensure our health system continues to keep pace with growing demand.
Each Satellite Hospital will be tailored to the needs of each local community. Both Redlands and Eight Mile Plains Satellite Hospitals provide the following services:
- Minor Injury & Illness Clinic
- Cancer Day unit
- Kidney Dialysis
- Specialist Services
- Allied Health Services
